Short bio:

Martin Atanasov is a visual artist and researcher based in Sofia, Bulgaria. In his research he explores the socialist and post socialist queer history of Bulgaria, merging art practice, archives and oral history. 

He is currently conducting interviews with gay men born in Bulgaria, alongside collective materials from the National Archive and private archives. In his research, he explores the connection between the communist past and the transition period of the 1990s.
