Short bio:

Originally from Northern Germany, Adina completed her BA in Psychology at the University of Göttingen in early 2024. During her studies, she worked as Gender and Diversity Representative for the student council and co-founded the project Break the Bloody Taboo, which established the access to free menstrual products on campus. Since autumn 2024, she has been pursuing a master’s degree in Democratic Studies at the University of Regensburg, with a minor in Gender Studies. Her academic interests center on feminist and postcolonial approaches to politics. She is particularly drawn to the intersection of feminist theory with political systems and aims to explore how these frameworks can enhance inclusion and equality. Through her role as a student assistant in the research project “Light On! Queer Literatures and Cultures under Socialism”, she aims to combine her interest in supporting marginalized communities with her commitment to uncovering lesser-studied aspects of political and cultural history.

Adina schloss Anfang 2024 ihren Bachelor in Psychologie an der Universität Göttingen ab. Während ihres Studiums engagierte sie sich als Referentin für Gender und Diversität im AStA und co-gründete das Projekt Break the Bloody Taboo, das den Zugang zu kostenfreien Menstruationsprodukten auf dem Campus nachhaltig etablierte. Seit Herbst 2024 studiert sie Demokratiewissenschaften im Master an der Universität Regensburg, mit einem Zusatzstudium in Geschlechterforschung. Ihr besonderes Interesse gilt feministischen und postkolonialen Perspektiven in der Politik. Sie untersucht, wie diese Ansätze politische Systeme prägen können und zur Förderung von Gleichberechtigung beitragen. Durch ihre Mitarbeit im Forschungsprojekt “Light On! Queer Literatures and Cultures under Socialism” verbindet Adina ihre Begeisterung für feministische Themen mit der Untersuchung bislang wenig erforschter politischer und kultureller Geschichte.
