Tatiana Klepikova

Research Group Leader
(Russia & Eastern Europe, since 2022)

Tatiana oversees the project. Her work zooms in on queer theater and performance in post-Soviet Russia and on queer cultures of the South Caucasus and the broader Eastern Europe.

Franziska Haug

Postdoctoral researcher
(GDR; since 2023)

Franziska researches queer aesthetics, gay and lesbian sexuality, and gender in the literature of the GDR.

Saltanat Shoshanova

PhD researcher
(Central Asia; since 2024)

Saltanat works on queer and feminist literary and performance cultures in Central Asia, Soviet and contemporary.

Martyna Miernecka

Postdoctoral researcher
(Poland; since 2024)

Martyna explores the underrepresented domain of queer women authors, examining the intersection of artistic practices, queer ecology, and the socio-political landscape of socialist Poland.

Paweł Matusz

PhD researcher
(Poland & transnational; since 2025)

Paweł’s research focuses on the transnational flows of literature in the socialist era, which he examines through the life and work of Andrzej Selerowicz, one of the first Polish gay activists.

Adina Kükelhahn

Student Assistant

While working on the project, Adina was primarily responsible for the support of the dissemination of project results (via conference organization, publications, and public communication).
